:D Red hair

Hey guys :) So, i now have dark redish hair, dyed by Jess (who is a legend). So if anybodies thinking of dying their hair, go to Jess- She does a good job of it. :) Anyway, thought you might like to see a picture, so, here are 2 pictures taken by Thasneem which i think look really cool. :) (so, credits to Jess and Thasneem! thankyou both ) xx

I think this was the rainbow effect... :D

Not sure what effect this was.. But i look pretty ginger here. Hahaha :D

So yeah, hope you like .. xx

?Red hair

Hellooo :) Hopefully soon, i shall have dyed my hair red.. :) (a photo will be uploaded!) I did it once in year 9, and i remember all the ginger jokes.. haha. But, i quite liked it. And i really do feel like a change, so, yesterday, i randomly felt like dying my hair. But, only temporary hair dye. ;) Anyway, here are some photos from google of red hair that i think look pretty cool. xD At the moment, i'm not sure what shade, my mum thinks darker (like the photo on the right) but i quite like the one on the left as well. So, we'll see.

..Read on

Hello worldd...? :) Now, i feel like posting about this... And i havent told you about the post yet, but thats all part of the suspense ;) Now, my friend Taylor (who has a blog, you should check it out) took me to the American Base today, which when i type it, does not sound nearly as cool in my head. See, when i say 'Base', i say it in a really low voice and i attempt at doing an American accent.. Yeah, Taylor usually cringes at that point. They're not very good, i'll admit. Anyway, the point is when i said to my parents 'i went to the base today' it sounded a lot cooler out loud. And that is completely off topic. I was supposed to tell you about why i'm posting about the Base, and Taylor i suppose. So here goes..
Well, for a while now, Taylor has talked about the base quite a lot. Well come to think of it, i don't think there hasn't been a day where the Base hasn't come up in some form of a conversation. Okay, exaggeration there.. But you get my point. So naturally, i became quite intrigued as to what this 'Base' actually was. But for quite a while, Taylor hadn't really brought up the Base, and i'd almost forgotten about it's existence in Bahrain. But then, last month, we kind of brought it up again. And for the last month, i have learnt something new about the Base on a regular basis- im not even joking. Like at first, I didn't even know it had shops and restaurants and stuff. Silly me, of course there were. Later, i learnt that you had to pay in US dollars there.. I don't know why i hadn't assumed that though. Firstly, why else would Taylor keep dollars in her purse.. Of course i would think that it was a souvenir or something. gosh, im so blonde sometimes. And, it is an offical American place, so why would you use dinars..? But yes, i learnt that with the help of Taylor. I then learnt that it had a mini cinema.. I actually wouldn't have guessed that. And yes,the list goes on. But Taylor was right, i was dreaming about the base and all its mysteries.. Okay, no i wasn't. But i seriously wanted to go. So then, when Taylor said we could go, you can imagine i was pretty excited. She thought it wasn't going to live up to my expectations, but i thought it was a pretty cool place, and im glad i got to see it. I got to try a Breakfast Burrito, and feel all American for a few hours. :P And, Reeses peanut butter cups... So good. So yeah, it was pretty cool and i don't know if this counts as going to 'America' now? Probably not.. But yes, next on the list is San Fran Cisco, Florida, Pennsylvania, Texas, Boston, Las Vegas, California, New York, and of course- Virginia! :D Hahaha, taylorr, this post is for you. :D you probably guessed. ;) anyway, adios xxx

*insert pictures of Reeses and Captian Crunch* all which remind me of the base but at this current moment i can't upload :L

A day later and they have been uploaded! Tada...

Hey guys :) So, Wednesday just gone was our Dofe presentations evening thingy. Yeah, can't say i was too excited for it to be honest, but in the end i actually quite enjoyed the whole thing. When we made our group board photos, and the actual evening itself, it was a way to 'reflect' on the whole of the trip. Besides the fact that where we were stayed and did our expedition were really beautiful places, the trip in itself was brilliant. However cheesy it may sound, it brought friends closer together, and we got to know more people. The actual walk and all that was there's no doubt about it, very hard and tiring- but it was definitely all worth it in those final few kilometers, where it was hailing like mad but we couldn't have cared less because there in the distance, was Kritou Terra, and a icy cold can of coke which awaited us... And most importantly we'd completed it! Yes, there were times when we just wanted to give up; blisters, aching backs, and roads that seem never ending can sometimes make your spirits dip... But we all just simply carried on. After the trip, i also really appreciated my bathroom.. Never really crossed my mind before what it would actually be like without a proper toilet and shower in 3 days.. Guess thats what the 'wilderness' does to you. Anyway, here are some photos that i know are already on facebook, but hopefully you'll still like looking back at them nonetheless. xx

N'awww- Fifaaayy <3 This was the first photo i took, so it deserves to go up.

This photo makes me laugh... Well, theres always a story to tell.  Me and Farian were walking back from the game room and it was dark, and we sort of took a wrong turn. We got freaked out... Just a bit. And, to top it all off, i thought that there were monster footprints in the road. So, decided to snap a picture, as you do.

One of the many views from Kritou Terra

Mel and me- interesting bus ride? We're such good singers... ;)
Up on a roof in Kritou Terra.. Feeling pretty rebellious.
Joe, Mel and Alec. After the flight and bus ride, we all decided to explore Kritou Terra...  I have to say, I love that wall.
Kritou Terra- who knew someone could miss a little village you only stayed in for a week that much?

Noora, me and thasneem- after swimming in the Bath of Aphrodities. ;)
At the Bath of Aphrodities, i thought it looked pretty cool.
Gin gan gooli gooli watchaa Gin gan goo, gin gan goo. :) <3

Me and Thasneem. :)

The Sauzenators... Alaa, Farian, joe, me and of course, the one and only Mr Sauze! Or as Joe likes to call him 'the weather man'. We are amazing. And we had our own shirts, made by Noora and fifi... pretty awesome. ;)  ... We're ready to go.

Noora.. Yep, always a story to tell. ;) Well, maybe this one will just stay between the group.  Haha. <3

The sticky Notes. Basically we used these so that the teachers could see where we were going, however we also liked to write random jokes on there..
These boots were made for walking and thats just what they'll doooo...

Joe and me... looking stunning.

The bags.  Need i say more? :/

Well, there are some photos that i really like from the trip, and hope you like them too? I would upload more, but my internet is very slow..  So they will do for now. :P Anway, making this blog is another way of reminding me that this is one of those things that i'm never going to forget and i am very thankful for being given an opportunity like this! I miss the trip, the laughs, the walk, the pain and everybody. I See my group members everyday, but i miss being a part of something special with them.

We are Cyprus 11 :)

Happy Birthday Dad!

So.. today is the 6th of February :) which happens to be my dads birthday.. So here's a little post to say Happy Birthday Dad! :) And, i don't know about you, but i think a lot of the time i don't appreciate just how much my parents do for me. So, here's a big thank you to my dad for always being there for me and for putting up with a moody, stressy, 15 year old daughter. Happy Birthday once again. :) xx

A photo of tonight will be uploaded soon.. :)

-Okay, so i said a picture of tonight would be uploaded.. But when i got to to Trader Vics, my camera had run out of charge. Typical me. :P

 bye bye for now.. Xx

What i love about Wintertime..

Hello again. :) So its that time of the year where it often snows.. Well, not in Bahrain. Maybe a few dust storms and some rain if we're lucky. But i still like to believe that it did snow in Bahrain, once upon a time- so there is hope! Anyway, i'm writing this post because i miss snow and wintery weather and just curling up by the fire reading The tales of Beatrix Potter and drinking hot chocolate. Funnily enough, my Christmas just gone was quite the opposite. I spent Christmas day on the beach, looking out over on to Table Mountain! You guessed it... Cape Town, South Africa. There's no denying it, i had a great Christmas, but it did feel strange waking up on Christmas day and it being summer. I mean, even the Christmases i have spent in Bahrain and Oman have still felt like Christmas and winter, as even though you may laugh, in the middle east it actually can get quite cold December/January time. I'm not joking. Although, writing this post will make me look like a whimp.  But believe you me, not everyone would fancy a dip in the pool at this kind of time i'll tell you that... Well, apart from me and my mum- but we're crazy. Wow, i've gone pretty off topic. I was supposed to be just reminiscing over snow and all that jazz... anyhoooo, here are some pictures of things i absolutely love about winter! Feel free to post what you love about winter too :)

Hot chocolate. What would winter be without a delicious cuppa?

Not too sure how to rotate the picture... Anyway, don't particularly like gingerbread at all, but i do love the look of them :) They seem so magical. And the one time i made one (with the help of A piece of cake) but i can't find the picture right now, so your imagination of a 10 year old me holding a mini gingerbread house will have to do ;)

And of course, the Christmas tree..
Family Christmas Dinner.

Nans Christmas pudding. The flame always amazes me...

Curling up by nan and grandads Christmas fire whilst reading a book or watching the new Doctor Who Christmas Special.

Watching Peter pan with alice- I think we were a wee bit enthusiastic. :) But whats Christmas without a melodramatic, cheesy pantomime?

A pointless, giant snowball... that i could hit right at my sisters head.

Making Snowmen. I sacrificed my gloves for him...

There's nothing like sun in winter. I don't know why, but i love it.

Ellie, Laura, and Pat. x
Spending the Christmas with my amazing family- i love you all to bits. :)

What can i say? The picture says it all...

When you wake up and run outside in your PJ's to find that there's snow all over the ground. :)

Not everybody would associate this with Winter or Christmas time, but performing Les Miserables in December 2010 was a truly incredible experience! I miss it so much. This photo is of me and Cari, being factory girls.. as you do.

Writing my name in the snow.. not much to it really.

London <3 so magical and starry.

The annual Christmas Fayre. Buying lots of random shizz, eating tons of cake and taking stupid pictures. love it.

Went to see Wicked on the last day of 2009. Everytime i hear the word 'wicked' i want to burst out into song.

And then Grease (2010). That film is practically my childhood. Going to see it on the West End was ah-maz-ing.

And last but not least, the Christmas Dinner. Turkey, yorkshire puddings, parsnips.. you name it, its on there.  Well, except for brussel sprouts. i refuse. :P

Well, all the pictures are what i think of when i think of Winter and Christmas. Oh, i miss it lots. And i'm sure all of you lot here in Bahrain do too. Im pretty jealous of you all back in the UK, if you didn't catch on already. ;) But have fun! But for now, i'm just excited for some rain... Hopefully there will be a rain blog soon to come! bye for now. xx

25 facts about.. you guessed it, me.

Right, i feel really really stupid once again. I was wondering why typing my first post up was quite difficult, and if everyone in the world had to type like this and i had some weird way of typing.. but no, i was typing from right to left, not left to right. Well, that's my 'blonde' moment of today. Really.. typing from right to left is hard, and very, very confusing. But ah well, so... i don't really fancy doing one of those 30 day challenges thingies, but i thought i might do the day one, which is 25 facts about myself and a picture... so like a ... 2nd introduction to myself, you could say. Right, well here goes. :)

1) I like jumping for pictures. And just jumping in general, trampolines, you name it. Well, not high jump, i do not enjoy high jump.
2) I have lived in the Middle East all my life- i was born in Oman and then i moved to Bahrain when i was 7. so yes, i call Bahrain my home. I love this place. :)
3) I used to have a cat, who i named tom but then to my surprise, had kittens...
4) I have had 5 hamsters. You can probably guess that i love them.
5) I have a dog, called Heidi, from the BSPCA
6) I love love love musicals. Its a mix of drama, and music! Whats not to like?!
7) Adding onto the musicals fact, if i had to choose my favourite, it would probably be Les Miserables, probably due to the fact that i was in it but it's way too hard to choose. But i do really like Wicked and Grease.
8) Friends is my obsession. Every day, its on at 6.. OSN comedy... for 2 straight hours. Heaven.
9) When i was little, i read all the time. I still love reading, but i seem to be bogged down with tons of other stuff so i don't read too often now. :/
10) I watch Glee. It's my guilty pleasure. I used to be really into it, however now i think it's loosing it's touch.  Just my opinion though, so don't judge me.
11) I love music. And all types really. Well, not all types. I'm not particularly into techno, but i think it's too vague to just label music and state that's what you do like or that's what you don't like. Give me a song, and see if i like it or not. I think that we should all be open to different kinds of music, otherwise we're always trapped in a bubble and not exploring new things- that's why we have youtube ;)
12) My most replayed song at the moment is probably Coldplay- Paradise. Ah, love that song way too much.
13) I think that Adele's really cool. I love how she just makes music with no strings attached just because she loves it.
14) Every time i watch Charlottes Web, i have to cry. It's just one of those films.
15) I love tea. Just a simple cup of tea.. maybe a sugar if i feel like it, but mainly just plain tea. So British...
16) I eat Haggis. And yes, its delicious. And no, its not made of a sheeps stomach or whatever other weird theories people have come up with... You should try it.
17) I'm terrible at accents. Despite the fact that i'm into drama, but hopefully i'll get there.. one day.
18) I love travelling. And yes, most people do, so this is more boring than the rest of the facts but i really do have a passion for visiting new places and do exciting things.
19) My favourite City is London. The theatre, the shops, the parks, the hustle and bustle, the buskers- everything. The atmospheres just amazing. Plus the fact that i'm only an hour away by train, so i get to go a lot. But i haven't been to New York yet... Which i'm planning on visiting. Also Paris, but as a 10 year old who visited i was more keen on staying at DisneyLand than anything else.
20) I'm so excited for this summer. For many many reasons..
21) GCSES stress me out. a lot. I was never all that interested in school but suddenly in year 10 i actually realised the importance of it all. god. Only a few months left... Ahhhh!. Oh well, maybe this blog will keep me sane?
22) I don't really know what i want to be when i'm older. But i think throughout peoples lifetimes people are still not sure whether they've taken the right path, but that's why lifes all about risks.
23) I hate Chemistry. With a burning passion. I cannot wait to drop it.
24) I wish i could speak more languages, its boring just speaking English. I'd like to say i speak French, but i don't think passing my GCSE French will really count as being fluent in the language...
25) I procrastinate. Not something to be proud of i can assure you...

Ah well, thats done and dusted. Took a while, but there you go, 25 facts about me!

Computers, technology and I...

Hey guys, so first up, making this blog has actually been the challenge of the week. Well for me at least.I don't know about you guys but making this blog for me was an actual nightmare. I simply could not get the instructions translated into english, and i think my friends thought i was being just a bit stupid, but i simply   couldn't do it. I like to think that technology repels me, or that it's 'fate'that me and computers do not mix, but i think that i am just hopeless with it all in general. Making a blog on the internet is supposed to be one of the simplest things one can do, well, i've proved that wrong. And if you don't know me, i'm not an old cat lady who hasn't even heard of a computer, i am fifteen year old girl who has been brought up in a world of gadgets and electronics but just hasn't quite caught on yet. Anyway, hope this blog is somewhat interesting,so carry on folks. :)
